Do succulents need fertilizer?
Succulents benefit from occasional light feeding, but they need far less than most houseplants. Apply a diluted succulent fertilizer (2-7-7 or balanced formula at quarter strength) once per month during spring and summer. Stop feeding entirely in fall and winter when most succulents go dormant. Succulents planted in fresh potting mix do not need fertilizer for the first 6 months, as the mix provides adequate nutrients.
