Blood meal (12-0-0) is a fast-acting organic nitrogen fertilizer made from dried animal blood. Used for leafy greens, corn, lawns, and any plant needing a nitrogen boost. It's one of the highest-nitrogen organic fertilizers available. Also slightly acidifies soil and may deter deer and rabbits. Apply 5-8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. Can burn if over-applied, follow rates carefully despite being organic.
