Urea is the most concentrated dry nitrogen fertilizer at 46% nitrogen with no phosphorus or potassium. Used primarily for lawns, corn, wheat, pastures, and any crop needing pure nitrogen. It's the most affordable nitrogen source per pound. Must be watered in within 48 hours or up to 30% of the nitrogen volatilizes (evaporates) as ammonia gas. Apply 2.2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for 1 lb of nitrogen.
