When to Fertilize Strawberries by Type

Penn State Extension

For June-bearing strawberries, fertilize AFTER harvest in late June or July, not in spring. For everbearing and day-neutral types, apply light balanced fertilizer at planting and every 3-4 weeks during production. For all types, apply 10-10-10 at bed preparation before planting. A renovation application after harvest for June-bearers is the single most important feeding of the year.
